Pinterest Shares the Most Searched Pins

After spending the week speaking with customers there’s one thing I heard over and over. “I don’t know what to buy next for my clients. I’m not sure anymore what they want.” Does this ring true for you too? Then, in my inbox appreared a report from Pinterest: Pinterest Predicts. Pinterest Shares the most searched pins.

It’s their unofficial trend spotting report based solely on Pinterest searches. This is something they’ve done a few times and have predicted trends fairly successfully. So, considering Pinterest has over 400 million monthly active users, at the time of this writing, who search over 2 billion times every month for ideas and products, that’s pretty powerful data.

They collect the data from the highest searched terms and phrases and categorize them into a trend. In this year’s you’ll see categories like Athflow, Skinimalism, Getaway Car, Blanned is Banned and Vibey Lights. You can probably imagine what’s inside each of these. It’s worth taking a look and seeing the top pins and the top terms.

The report covers many categories, gives you the most searched terms and advice about how the types of content the consumer would find helpful or inspiring. You could also use those terms when searching for new hashtags potentially finding new followers or products for your shop. There’s also a downloadable version as well. Pinterest shares the most searched pins every year. Stay tuned for the next one!
